FOOD you shouldn't miss to have, When you visit MYANMAR (1)




Ohn-note-kawtswe

 is coconut noodle, similar to other Southeast Asian variations (eg. Malaysian laksa). The coconut based soup is made with chicken and poured over egg noodles as breakfast food. The dish is often garnished with crisp fried bean fritters, sliced raw onions, chilies, crisp noodles, and slices of hard-boiled egg, and zested with lime or lemon juice and fish sauce. You can also add fried fish cakes and fritters similar to mohinga.
Most of the old people have hypertension; a variation which uses evaporated milk instead of coconut milk is also available in certain restaurants. The rest of the ingredients are the same.






Mala Hin 

  

Mala Hin is a vegetarian meal which can contain tofu, beans, rice noodles, peas, kailan, carrots, and any other seasonal vegetable. It is all smothered in a spicy bean sauce and sometimes topped with peanuts. Presents at most Shan (ethnic group) restaurants especially street stall at china town.










Shan Noodles

"Shan noodles" is a Shan-inspired dish from the northeastern part of Burma. Rice noodles is mixed with marinated chicken/pork, onions, garlic, tomatoes, chilies, crushed roasted peanuts, and garnished with toasted sesame and a drizzle of garlic oil. You can get it with soup or without soup. Quite often, this becomes the de facto dinner food of many travelers as it is widely available, not spicy, and generally safe to eat. You can also add pork crack or se-to-fu (Fermented bean paste). 








Mont Tee

 
 Rakhine is one of the ethnic group from Myanmar and it’s situated on the western cost. Their Rakhine style noodle soup prepared from ngapi is extremely popular and economical fast food dish. It’s available at stalls and restaurants across Myanmar. Garnished with chopped coriander and sliced boiled egg, and with a combined aroma of garlic and pepper, monti is an enticing treat. Bean fritters and fried fish cakes are also available on request.









Mont Lat saung (Myanmar desert) 

Mont let saung is Myanmar desert that is made from tear drop rice shake, coconut milk and the plum sugar syrup. You can also have with jaggery syrup if you want to find different taste. The syrup is both sweet as well as having a surprisingly refreshing taste.  It is the favorite drink amongst of all the kids and adult alike.  Traditionally often serve in water festival (Myanmar new year) and you will also can buy in most of the vendors in during summer season. In addition, it is really nice to have after eating spicy things. 







Mont Lone Ye Paw (rice floating balls) 


Mont lone Ye Paw is another Myanmar Snack which is put jaggery into a center of rice ball. We have believing that if we donate with rice floating balls, we will get back the greater luck which are sink. Traditionally it is often served in water festival (Myanmar new year) and you can have it some Burmese food restaurants like Shwe Yee or Feel.
